Volunteer Opportunity!

Pomme de Terre Foods is currently looking for volunteers! Each volunteer shift is two hours long and occurs during store hours. Volunteers can earn a discount up to 20% -after 4 shifts a month (5% per shift). Interested? Send us a message, or stop in to pick up a form!

Fresh bread every Tuesday and Thursday!

Freshly baked, bakery made bread is at PDT! Falls Baking Co. freshly bakes bread, and has it speedily shipped to our store. Come pick up your bread today!

After a day in our store we freeze each loaf. Frozen bread can easily be enjoyed by thawing the loaf, and reheating it at 375 degrees for 8 minutes.

Tips for getting the best deals at Pomme de Terre Foods!

  • Purchase bulk items such as oatmeal, rice, spices, flour, ect. (the more people that purchase them the fresher the products will be!)
  • Check in for local produce. We have the freshest vegetables during the summer, purchased from growers less than 50 miles away.
  • Try dried fruit for snacks.
  • Make it a habit to stop in at PDT as one of your grocery stops.

Local Honey!

Fresh honey has arrived from Kent and Lori Peterson of Benson, MN!

We now have a new 4 lb honey option!

The freshly harvested honey is a lighter color than the older honey. This reflects the change of seasons, and which flowers are available for the bees!

Bread on Tuesday!

Due to a large stock of frozen Falls Baking Co. bread we did not order bread this week.

We will have freshly baked bread again on Tuesday, including Dakota, Sourdough, French bread, and Garlic Parmesan!

Sunday Community Recipe

– Marinated Cucumbers –
2 c. thinly sliced cucumbers
1/3 c. organic cider vinegar 
3 tbsp. olive oil 
1 tbsp. brown sugar 
dash crushed red pepper 
salt to taste 
fresh ground pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a jar and refrigerate, cover for one or more hours before serving.
